The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has clarified that there is no prescribed dress code for candidates participating in the upcoming medical screening exercise for the 2025 recruitment into Nigeria’s paramilitary services.
In a public notice issued on June 19, 2026, and signed by the Head of Press, CDCFIB, Okeh Juliet (Mrs.), for: the Secretary to the Board, the agency cautioned applicants to disregard any false directives circulating about dress codes or document requirements.
According to the Board, the medical screening exercise for the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCOS), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) will commence on June 22, 2026.
The statement stressed that applicants are only expected to appear in “normal and decent attire” and warned against misinformation requiring specific outfits or credentials.
“The medical screening exercise is scheduled to commence on 22nd June, 2026,” the Board stated.
It added: “Applicants are advised to appear for the exercise in their normal and decent attire. They are also advised not to come with their credentials, as no document verification will be conducted during the medical screening exercise.”
The Board further warned that any instruction directing candidates to wear specific clothing or present documents should be disregarded, noting that such information did not originate from it.
“Any information directing candidates to wear a particular dress code or bring their credentials should be disregarded, as such directives did not emanate from the Board,” the notice stated.
CDCFIB urged all applicants to rely strictly on official communication channels and wished candidates success in the screening exercise.
