The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released a revised timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 General Elections, setting Saturday, May 23, 2026, for its presidential primary election.
The party said the revised schedule was issued in line with the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended), the Electoral Act 2026, and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)’s revised timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 General Elections.
According to the revised schedule signed by the APC National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, OFR, the changes affect timelines for screening, appeals, primary elections, as well as the sale of nomination forms and payment procedures for aspirants.
Argungu stated that, “In accordance with the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended), the Electoral Act 2026, and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) revised timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 General Elections, the All Progressives Congress (APC) hereby releases its revised timetable and schedule of activities for the elections.”
The timetable shows that the Notice of Election to State Chapters took effect from Monday, April 20, 2026, while the sale of forms at the APC National Secretariat began on Saturday, April 25 and will end on Saturday, May 2, 2026.
The last day for submission of completed forms and accompanying documents has been fixed for Monday, May 4, 2026.
Screening of aspirants for the State House of Assembly, House of Representatives, Senate and Governorship positions will hold from Wednesday, May 6 to Friday, May 8, while the presidential screening is scheduled for Saturday, May 9, 2026.
Publication of screening results for all categories of elections will take place on Monday, May 11, while screening appeals are slated for Tuesday, May 12 to Wednesday, May 13.
For the primaries, the House of Representatives primary election will hold on Friday, May 15, followed by the Senate on Monday, May 18, State House of Assembly on Wednesday, May 20, Governorship on Thursday, May 21, and the Presidential Primary on Saturday, May 23, 2026.
Election appeals will follow immediately, with the presidential appeal fixed for Monday, May 25, 2026.
On the cost of forms, the APC fixed the House of Assembly form at ₦6 million, comprising ₦1 million for Expression of Interest and ₦5 million for Nomination.
House of Representatives aspirants are to pay ₦10 million, while Senate aspirants will pay ₦20 million.
Governorship aspirants are expected to pay ₦50 million, while the Presidential form has been pegged at ₦100 million, with ₦30 million for Expression of Interest and ₦70 million for Nomination.
The party added that female aspirants, youths, and physically challenged aspirants will only pay for the Expression of Interest form and 50 percent of the prescribed Nomination fees for each position.
Argungu further directed that all payments must be made directly into the designated APC bank accounts, listing Union Bank Plc, UBA Plc, and Zenith Bank Plc as the approved banks for the transactions.

Confirming the release of the revised timetable, APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, CON, in a press statement dated April 27, 2026, said the revised schedule contains significant adjustments to the party’s electoral process.
“The revision includes changes to timelines for, among others, screening, appeals, and primary elections, as well as directives on the sale of forms and the Party’s bank accounts approved to receive all payments relating to the purchase of Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms,” Morka stated.
The revised schedule is expected to guide APC aspirants and party stakeholders ahead of preparations for the 2027 general elections.
